E. P. "Pete" Sexton Obituary

Jacksonville - Funeral services for E. P. "Pete" Sexton, 85, will be Friday, April 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center chapel with Bill Butterworth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 tonight. Mr. Sexton died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Oxford. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth P. Sexton; three daughters, Patti S. Alexander, Deb Rigsby, and Nancy Burton; a son, Jack P. Sexton; two sisters, Della Burrell and Zell Copeland; four brothers, Jim Sexton, Ernie Sexton, Luke Sexton, and Buster Sexton; eight grandchildren, Jason Alexander, Derek Alexander, Jamie Sexton, Matthew Rigsby, Loren Rigsby Roberts, Dirk Burton, Lauren Burton Pollard, and Kane Burton; two great-grandchildren, Lillian Alexander and Morgan Sexton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sexton served his country in the Navy during World War II. During the 1960's, he taught trade school. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time in the Cheaha mountains. Pete Sexton was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. Online condolences to the family at: www.klbrownfuneralhome.com. K. L. MEMORIES of the many years on Choccolocco Creek still linger and yes will always be with our family, thanks Uncle Pete.
